Excelled Healing, a leading provider of advanced mobile wound care in Washington State, is seeking a professional and compassionate Patient Scheduler to join our dedicated team. This critical role ensures seamless coordination of patient appointments, supports our mobile healthcare providers, and delivers exceptional patient experiences while adhering to all state and federal regulations, including HIPAA.
Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently schedule wound care assessments, treatments, and follow-up appointments to optimize mobile care resources and provider availability.
- Act as the primary point of contact for patients, providing clear, empathetic communication and addressing inquiries or special requests with professionalism.
- Maintain accurate, secure patient records in our electronic health record (EHR) system, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and confidentiality standards.
- Collaborate with mobile wound care providers, nursing staff, and administrative teams to align schedules with patient needs and urgent care demands.
- Proactively adjust schedules to accommodate emergent cases, ensuring timely and equitable care delivery.
- Monitor appointment adherence, follow up with patients as needed, and contribute to patient satisfaction initiatives.
- Facilitate clear and timely communication between healthcare providers, staff, and patients to support coordinated care.
- Continuously assess scheduling processes to enhance efficiency and patient experience.
Qualifications
- Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency in EHR systems, scheduling software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a patient-centered, empathetic approach.
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulations.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and urgent patient needs.
- Preferred:
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential, active and in good standing in Washington State.
- Associate’s degree or additional training in medical office administration.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in healthcare scheduling, medical office administration, or a customer-facing role within a healthcare setting.
- Familiarity with wound care or mobile healthcare operations.
