Primary/Elementary Arabic/Quran Teacher

Required work experience, skills and education

• Experience working with age 3 to 9 years
• Experience working with small group instruction
• Able to communicate in English both verbally and through writing
• Ability to use Google Suite and other LMS
• Ability to work easily with staff, students and parents

Duties include, but are not limited to:

· Teach Quran and Arabic to students of all levels from grades PreK to 3rd ensuring their learning and understanding of both subjects with the resources given.

Teach rules of Tajweed to students grades 1st -3rd ensuring their learning and understanding through regular assessment of all rules and ensure proper reading/memorization of the Quran with fluency..

· Plan and implement the curriculum. Give appropriate presentations and establish a record keeping system to track students’ progress.

· Inform the Department Lead, and co-teacher of any classroom difficulties, including discipline, health, equipment needs, repair and maintenance.

· Ensure respectful and open lines of communication with parents. Be available to parents through written communication, setting up conferences, and educating parents in regard to Quran curriculum.

· Meet with the other Quran/Arabic teachers on a regular basis to discuss goals for the class and individual students.

· Hold conferences 2-3 times a year with parents providing a completed report

Pay: $25,000.00 - $35,000.00 per year
