The Agile Coach will assess team readiness and execution, utilize Agile Lifecycle Management tools (e.g., Jira, Gitlab, Azure DevOps), and provide tailored coaching to improve performance and support Agile transformation efforts.

- Agile adoption and execution at the team level, guiding teams to successfully implement Agile practices and facilitating key Agile ceremonies
- Choosing an appropriate Agile at scale framework by assessing organizational needs and customizing a framework to fit the client's culture and goals
- Agile adoption and execution for Agile at scale, overseeing the implementation of Agile across multiple teams, ensuring alignment with business objectives and improving cross-team coordination
- Agile for software development, hardware development, and service domains, adapting Agile practices for each area
- Agile team readiness assessments, including gathering metrics to determine a team's readiness to execute Agile at the team level and gathering metrics to determine a team's readiness to execute Agile at scale
- Agile team execution assessments, including gathering metrics to determine how well a team is executing Agile at the team level and gathering metrics to determine how well a team is executing Agile at scale
- Agile hardware and software testing, including the ability to articulate the need for testing and coach teams in the implementation of testing
- The ability to articulate DevOps for software and how the ideas translate to hardware development, helping teams understand and apply continuous integration and collaboration in both software and hardware
- Working knowledge of Agile Lifecycle Management (ALM) tools used at NTESS such as Jira, Gitlab, and Azure DevOps (ADOS)
- Coaches shall participate in the APEX Agile Scrum ceremonies so their coaching work can be integrated into other Agile work being done by APEX, ensuring alignment and continuous improvement
- Have the ability to conduct additional coaching services not listed above
- Minimum of 3 years of Agile coaching experience in launching and improving the Agile implementation of single Agile teams (e.g., a single Scrum or Kanban team)
- Minimum of 3 years of Agile coaching experience in launching and improving the Agile implementation of multiple teams (e.g., three Scrum or Kanban teams)
- Demonstratable experience Coaching Scrum or Kanban implementations
- Launching and improving the Agile implementations of teams using an Agile at scale framework such as Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), Large Scale Scrum (LeSS), Scrum at Scale (S@S), Disciplined Agile Delivery (DAD), or a similar framework
- 1 Year of experience working with customer project leadership designing Agile at scale implementations. The experience shall include designing implementation for either Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), Large Scale Scrum (LeSS), Scrum at Scale (S@S), Disciplined Agile Delivery (DAD), or a similar framework
- Familiarity with the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
- SAFe Practice Consultant 6 Certification
- Other SAFe Certifications
- Application of Agile in the hardware domain
- Familiarity with the book Industrial DevOps: Build Better Systems Faster by Dr. Suzette Johnson and Robin Yeman
- Must possess or have an ability to possess an active Department of Energy (DOE) Q clearance
- Local to the Albuquerque metropolitan area
- Bachelor's degree with a technical or engineering focus. A technical or engineering degree is not required for applicants with 8 or more years' experience working on technical projects

- This is a full-time position with an estimated period of performance of one year with the possibility of extension
- Days and hours of work are normally Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with a 1-hour lunch
- Will have some repetitive hand and arm motions and prolonged periods of sitting and standing
- While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, and listen
- This position requires eye/hand coordination such as keyboarding
- Prolonged exposure to a computer screen
- The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate
