Responsibilities
- Diagnose issues with appliances including refrigerators, washers, dryers, and ovens.
- Perform repairs on various types of appliances using schematics and technical manuals.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks to ensure appliances are functioning properly.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly with clients about repairs needed.
- Utilize a box truck to travel to customer locations for service calls.
- Maintain accurate records of service performed and parts used during repairs.
- Stay updated on the latest appliance technologies and repair techniques.
- Collaborate with team members to improve service efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Physical Requirements
- Lifting and Carrying: Technicians often need to lift and move heavy appliances, which can weigh several hundred pounds.
- Bending and Squatting: Many repairs require working in tight spaces, which involves bending, squatting, and kneeling.
- Standing for Long Periods: Technicians may spend extended periods on their feet while diagnosing and repairing appliances.
- Climbing and Crawling: Accessing appliances in different locations may require climbing ladders or crawling into small areas.
- Manual Dexterity: Good hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills are essential for using tools and managing small components.
- Vision: Clear eyesight is necessary for diagnosing issues, reading manuals, and performing detailed repairs.
