Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate School Psychologist to join our team. As a School Psychologist, you will play a crucial role in supporting the mental health and well-being of students. You will collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to provide comprehensive psychological services.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct diagnostic evaluations to assess students' cognitive, emotional, and behavioral functioning
- Provide crisis intervention and support for students experiencing mental health emergencies
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs
- Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to address social-emotional issues
- Assist in the development and implementation of behavioral interventions and strategies
- Administer and interpret psychological assessments to inform educational planning
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop appropriate interventions for students with diverse needs
- Maintain accurate and confidential student records, including medical records
- Stay up-to-date on current research and best practices in the field of school psychology
Experience:
- Master's or doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field
- Post-residency experience working as a School Psychologist preferred
- Experience working with children and adolescents in an educational setting
- Knowledge of special education laws and regulations
- Strong skills in diagnostic evaluation and assessment
- Proficient in crisis intervention techniques
- Ability to provide individual and group counseling services
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
