Excelraise, LLC is seeking a Business Analyst – Junior (Hybrid) for our client in Raleigh, NC.
The Department of Information Technology (DIT) for the State of North Carolina is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Business Analyst to support app rationalization efforts and business architecture initiatives. The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders across various state departments to analyze, optimize, and consolidate the portfolio of applications and IT systems. This role will be key to aligning technology with business strategies and ensuring that the state’s digital infrastructure is efficient, scalable, and cost-effective.
Key Responsibilities:
App Rationalization:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess the current application portfolio, identifying redundant, obsolete, or underutilized systems.
- Analyze the lifecycle, performance, and value of existing applications to guide decisions on retirement, consolidation, replacement, or optimization.
- Support the development of roadmaps and strategies to streamline the application portfolio, ensuring alignment with business goals and technology standards.
Business Architecture Support:
- Assist in the creation and documentation of business architecture models, aligning business processes with technology solutions.
- Work with stakeholders to identify business requirements, system dependencies, and pain points in current workflows.
- Ensure that technology solutions and application rationalization efforts align with the overall business architecture framework.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role, with a focus on application portfolio management, business architecture, and/or IT strategy.
- Proven experience in app rationalization or business architecture efforts, especially in large, complex organizations or public sector environments.
- Strong understanding of business processes, systems integration, and the software development lifecycle.
