Excelraise, LLC is seeking an Network Operation Center Technician (Night Shift) for our client in Clemson, SC.
***This is Onsite Position***
***This is Night Shift position – Hours are 6pm- 6am***
***this includes weekends and holidays***
Scope of the project:
This will be a one-year contract working at the Clemson university information technology center with the possibility of extending 36-months.
Daily duties / responsibilities:
- Monitors, tests, maintains and repairs network and infrastructure elements for Clemson CCIT.
- Monitors Clemson network, server, and application elements, resolves incidents and service requests and/or consults with the subject matter expert team for incident resolution. Applies state-of-the-art technology to meet and improve the network control center.
- Control network and system processing. Responds to customer inquiries and alerts via emails, incoming calls, and walk-ins. Conducts routine inspections on equipment and reports any abnormalities. Other operational duties as assigned such as meetings, project work, administration and facilities requirements.
- Configure network and system resources, and maintain corresponding system records and documentation. Provides tier ii support as per SME agreements. Performs periodic maintenance and monitoring of computer systems. Performs pre-configured port activations on network switches. Assist with implementing network automation tools.
- Prepares and reviews documentation for use in operations for training and knowledge base. Participates in training and cross training for the tier ii. . Provides customer service for all information and/or telecommunication network systems support areas.
