Job Summary
The Legal, Risk & Compliance Specialist shall assist with all legal, risk & compliance matters and serve as custodian for all records germane to the services we furnish for our healthcare clients including, but not limited to: serving as counsel to the Enterprise and their governing boards; drafting of corporate meeting minutes, resolutions & consents; development of legal templates & forms; department-driven legal, compliance & risk mitigation enhancements; development and negotiation of corporate agreements of all types; development and update of proposed Policies & Procedure and protocols; pursuit & defense of intellectual property trademarks & registrations; furnishing legal counsel in matters of all types including operations, contracts, litigation, claims, employment, disciplinary, risk, acquisitions & divestitures, and regulatory matters; conduct of compliance audits; delivery of legal & compliance training; assisting in investigation and resolution of Incident Reports, Compliance Complaints, and Compliance Inspection Reports; administration of litigation/legal holds; and, development and administration of Insurance & Compliance Programs.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Develop a command/understanding of operations throughout our Enterprise
- Develop/foster excellent working relationships and communications with others within the Enterprise, thus facilitating efforts to gather information, data & materials in a timely and efficient manner as needed for completion of the many services we furnish our healthcare clients
- Serve as records custodian of all materials germane to the services we furnish in a highly organized fashion
- Furnish project management services, as-needed, for department-driven legal, compliance, and risk mitigation initiatives
- Manage deadlines, schedules, and meeting invitations
- Assist with information/document gathering and submissions as needed upon renewal of insurance coverages
- Serve as Records Custodian for Due Diligence Readiness Program
- Assist with administration of Corporate Governance Committee

Education and Experience
- College Degree (Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree) required
- Paralegal Degree or Certification preferred
- Some paralegal experience preferred
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting at desk and working on computer
- Must be able to navigate and access all areas of Business Office to which employee shall report regularly
