Job Duties
- Schedules surgery procedures
- Answers phones in a professional and courteous manner
- Completes post-op data entry in a timely and accurate manner
- Posts surgical charges on a daily basis per established guidelines
- Completes daily surgical schedule and distributes as appropriate
- Assures appropriate coordination with hospitals, surgical centers, and internal staff when special surgical needs occur
- Lead with integrity by upholding our core values and ensuring that all operations align with legal, regulatory, and ethical standards. Foster a culture of corporate responsibility by incorporating Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) principles into business practices, positively impacting the patients we serve, our employees, and the communities with reach.

Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- 2 -3 years of experience in a medical office or related setting with computer experience desired
- Knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with medical diagnostic procedures, and health care billing and authorization is required
- Prior experience with insurance verification and scheduling is required
- Office Experience: general, scheduling, telephone skills, typing, business knowledge, organization, time management, customer service, verbal communication, PC proficiency, reporting skills
- Knowledge of HIPAA/Confidentiality
- Must have excellent organizational skills and be detail oriented
- Medical receptionist: 1 year (required)
- Computer skills: familiar with Excel, Word, Windows; 1 year (required)
Motor Vehicle Report Monitoring
In the event Employee does not maintain the insurance coverage required under this Policy & Procedure, and/or does not maintain a valid license to operate a motor vehicle, that Employee shall not be eligible for mileage reimbursement and is barred from operating any motor vehicle in furtherance of Company business. Operating a motor vehicle in furtherance of Company business without a valid state-issued driver's license to do so and/or maintain insurance of the type and amounts set forth herein shall subject the Employee to immediate disciplinary action up to and including termination.

Physical/Mental Requirements
This position requires periods of extensive sitting and phone work. It also requires other repetitive motions (e.g., bending, stooping, twisting, walking, standing, reaching overhead, pushing or pulling). Manual dexterity is required, as is the ability to concentrate on detail amid other activity. Lifting a maximum of 20 pounds.
