Location: Irvington, New Jersey

Shift: Full Time, 12-Hour Shift

Salary: $25 per hour

Job Description:

Alliance Care Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dialysis Patient Care Technician (PCT) to join our dynamic healthcare team. The PCT will assist in providing direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse. This includes preparing dialysis machines, supporting patients throughout their treatment, and maintaining accurate records.

Primary Responsibilities:

Clinical:

• Set up and take down dialysis machines per protocol
• Assist with initiating and terminating dialysis treatments
• Monitor and document patient vital signs and treatment data
• Support patient transfers and provide assistance as needed during treatment
• Reinforce patient education as directed by the nursing team
• Adhere to safety, infection control, and quality procedures
• Perform Point of Care testing and ensure accurate reporting
  
  
  

Communication & Support:

• Deliver care with compassion and professionalism
• Ensure informed consent is obtained before procedures
• Assist other healthcare team members as needed
• Support a respectful and inclusive environment for all patients
  
  
  

General:

• Maintain treatment areas, inventory, and equipment
• Complete additional tasks as assigned
  
  
  

Requirements:

Education:

• High School Diploma or GED (required)
  
  
  

Experience:

• Minimum of 3 months of hands-on hemodialysis experience (required)
• CNA-DT required (if working in Maryland)
  
  
  

Skills:

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Basic computer skills; EMR experience a plus
• Detail-oriented with good observation and documentation abilities
  
  
  

Licensure/Certifications:

• Current BLS certification (required)
• BONENT or NNCC certification (required)
