Job Title: RN or LPN Unit Manager

Facility: Ambassador Healthcare at College Park, Fort Myers, FL

Shift: Full-Time, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM

Salary: $38 per hour

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assist the DON and ADON in evaluating and directing the day-to-day functions of the Nursing Department in compliance with current regulations and guidelines.
• Ensure nursing services personnel adhere to their respective job descriptions.
• Review complaints and grievances from staff, ensuring appropriate reporting to the Director of Nursing Services.
• Lead and manage the assigned unit, providing professional guidance to both professional and nonprofessional staff.
• Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to maintain adequate staffing levels and minimize overtime and agency personnel usage.
• Implement progressive counseling and recommend/implement disciplinary actions when needed.
• Participate in quality assurance activities, including the development and evaluation of quality care programs.
• Teach, demonstrate, and evaluate nursing skills for direct resident care.
• Oversee MDS completion and participate in the development of discharge plans with the interdisciplinary team.
• Assist in the recruitment and selection of nursing personnel and ensure the highest quality of service in a caring, compassionate atmosphere.
  
  
  

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Valid RN or LPN license in the state of Florida.
• At least 2 years of experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility.
• Managerial experience preferred
