Requirements and Qualification
- BS in Athletic Training required.
- NYS license required.
- CPR / AED certification preferred.
- Experience in educational or clinical setting preferred but not required.
- Training and relocation assistance available. Physical Demands
- Requires considerable physical activity including heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling of objects up to 50 pounds.
- Involves standing, walking, and kneeling.
- Work environment involves some exposure to hazards / physical risk, which requires adhering to basic safety precautions.
Job Summary Role provides clinical support and direction for the athletic population and post-surgical patients within the rehabilitation clinic. Athletic trainers are responsible for providing clinical linkage between physical therapy and rehabilitation. This role performs a wide variety of duties involving the evaluation, treatment, care, and rehabilitation of patients with athletic, sports-related, or orthopedic injuries / conditions. Additionally, this role has opportunity to support designated high schools in an outreach capacity as well as represent Excelsior Orthopaedics at external events as needed. Duties and Responsibilities
