What are the responsibilities and job description for the Recovery Suite Nurse- Per Diem position at Excelsior Orthopaedics?
After surgery, the recovery nurse serves as an educator to the patients' primary care giver at the Surgical Recovery Suite. The SRS Nurse is responsible for monitoring the patient's vital signs, operative site and providing education on comfort measures for to the patient and their caregiver. They track the progress of patients' conditions, and ensure patients receive adequate rest, food, and fluids. The SRS Nurse is responsible for teaching the patient and their caregiver how to monitor and care for their operative site including needed bandage changes, medication regime and necessary care for ADLs for themselves after they leave the recovery suite.
- AAS or BS in Nursing required
- 1 years of nursing experience preferred, but not required
