What are the responsibilities and job description for the Radiology Technologist (PT/PRN - Wednesday/Saturday Nights) position at Excelsior Springs City Hospital?
Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures, including x-rays and CT scans, according to established protocols.
- Prepares all materials and equipment appropriate for procedures. Selects and operates equipment as directed.
- Selects proper technical factors on individual’s patient basis.
- Evaluate images for quality and completeness, ensuring they meet diagnostic criteria.
- Practice sterile techniques, preventing cross-contamination.
- Plans work detail to meet daily work schedule consistently within scheduled shift.
- Demonstrates broad knowledge of assigned areas.
- The degree to which the technologist determines standard of care follows federal, state, local, and other accrediting agencies.
- Degree to which follows instructions reliably, utilize supplies and equipment in cost efficient manner.
- Maintain radiology supplies inventory by checking stock, anticipating future needs, and placing orders.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
- Maintain imaging equipment and report any malfunctions or issues.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Provide patient care with compassion and professionalism.
Position Requirements:
- ARRT registered and qualified in CT.
- Maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association or preapproved provider.
Position Summary:
Under the direction of a radiologist performs radiographic procedures at technical level not requiring constant supervision. Performs a variety of technical procedures with ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiological diagnosis.
