What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality inspector position at Excelsior Staffing?
Works in a manufacturing environment emphasizing teamwork, safety, quality, training, and discipline.
Responsibilities :
- Inspects seats visually for cosmetic defects according to customer standard.
- Inspects seats for assembly completion (No missing parts and properly functions).
- Checks torque of fasteners / bolts required by specification.
- Follows standardized inspection procedures and work sequence for each process.
- Works with Team Leader to improve standardized processes / methods, identify waste, methodically eliminate waste and standardize the new process / methods.
- Directly responsible for performance of assigned work area.
- Works in a team environment on safety, quality, productivity and cost improvement projects.
- Completes all working documentation, records and reports as requested.
- Understands and follows all SAIA policies and procedures.
- Remains proactive and reactive to resolve abnormalities in the process.
- Uses key performance indicators as a method of continuous improvement.
- Performs other duties as requested.
