Position Title: Nursery/Toddler Room Staff
Reports To: Children’s Ministry Director
Contracted Hours: Weekly for Church services
Employment Status: Non-Exempt
Purpose/description: To provide child care for infants/toddler on Sunday mornings. To provide care for infants/toddlers/children during church events as agreed upon. To partner with volunteer assistants with the help of the the Children’s Ministry Director.
Key Responsibilities:
· Provide infant/toddler care on Sunday mornings
· Check the room each Sunday prior to children’s arrival for safety and cleanliness.
· Arrive at 9:45am (15 minutes prior to Sunday services); remain with children for up to 15 minutes following Sunday services
· Take attendance (parent sign in) and report it to the church office
· Provide care for children during church events as mutually agreed upon with the Children’s Ministry Director.
· Work with the Children’s Ministry Director as contact person for the nursery/toddler room.
· Maintain CPR/First Aid Certification
· Attend Safe Sanctuaries training
Compensation:
· $45.00 per occurrence
· An occurrence is defined as a single shift lasting up to 90 minutes
· Sunday morning is considered an occurrence starting at 9:45 and ending by 11:15.
· In the event that an occurrence lasts beyond 90 minutes compensation shall be at the rate of $15 for each 30-minute increment beyond the original 90 occurrence.
· Employment contingent upon successful completion of background check.
