Required Qualification:
- Master’s degree in psychology, counseling, social work or a related field from an accredited college or university.
- Fully licensed (non-associate level) and certified through the Washington State Department of Health to provide direct client care as an LMHC or, LMFT or, LICSW.
- Active Substance Use Disorder Professional (SUDP) or Substance Use Disorder Professional in Training (SUDPT) credential in Washington State
- Ability to pass a criminal background check, per agency standards.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record, per agency standards.
*New employees with out-of-state licenses must obtain a Washington State Driver’s License within 30 days of employment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of EMR/EHR systems
Core Responsibilities:
- This Therapist SUDP position supports teens or young adults and their families with accessing and engaging with treatment for co-occurring substance use and mental health disorders.
- Maintains clients as an outpatient therapeutic model of intervention lasting one year.
- Provides treatment using Evidence-Based Practices in weekly or bi-weekly counseling.
- Completes Mental health and substance use assessments, individual counseling sessions and group counseling sessions in a co-occurring mental health and chemical dependency program.
- Addresses symptom management, interpersonal processes, psychotherapeutic recreation, self-concept, and social role so individuals function at their highest potential and avoid acute care situations.
- Knows and complies with all applicable ethical standards; insurance requirements,and seeks out clarification if needed.
- Ensures services provided are properly documented in accordance with program, agency, and regulatory requirements and documentation is completed timely.
- Makes referrals to outside agencies for acute mental health, SAY (sexually aggressive youth) and neuropsychological services as needed.
- Communicates regularly with supervisor to accurately report therapeutic interventions and caseload capacity.
- Completes assigned and required training in a timely manner.
- Attends and actively participates in weekly meetings.

Salary : $1,200 - $8,700
