Excelsior Wellness is seeking a Senior Advisor to the President & Board Liason.

 

Excelsior Wellness is an overarching nonprofit healthcare system alternative. It is currently comprised of four interconnected organizations that enable our team of compassionate employees to provide comprehensive, wraparound services to meet the needs of our patients and the community.

 

Job Summary:

As the Senior Advisor to the President & Board Liaison, you are a strategic thinker with strong communication and relationship-building skills. This role ensures the President/CEO is well-prepared for engagements, that board meetings run smoothly, and that leadership priorities stay on track. By keeping communication clear and organized, you help maintain strong governance, strategic direction, and productive relationships inside and outside the organization.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the COO’s Chief of Staff, coordinating internal administrative priorities.
  • Brief the President on external developments, policies, and key meetings.
  • Help manage and/or oversee the President/CEO’s calendar and communication to align with key priorities.
  • Represent the President/CEO in meetings when necessary, ensuring priorities and messages are communicated effectively.
  • Prepare the President/CEO for external visits, roundtables, and government meetings.
  • Ensure clear and efficient information sharing between executives, employees, the Board, and community stakeholders, utilizing technology, artificial intelligence, and assistive tools that extend the President/CEO’s capacity without assuming decision-making authority.
  • Provide clear, accurate, and timely information to the Board of Directors, including monthly and quarterly updates.
  • Prepare for board-related activities on a weekly basis.
  • Support the Board’s monthly meeting structure, which includes preparation for Board retreats, Executive Committee meetings, and Board committee meetings.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to ensure these meetings and retreats are well-planned and effective.

 

 

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Extensive experience in executive support, board relations, or strategic coordination is required.
  • A background in business, public administration, healthcare, or human services is preferred.
  • Project management and public policy experience.
  • Strategic Thinker – The ability to analyze information and align actions with big-picture goals.
  • Strong Communicator – Clearly articulate ideas in writing, presentations, and conversations.
  • Knowledge of Governance & Policy – Familiarity with local, state, and federal policies and board operations.
  • Stakeholder & Relationship Management – Build strong working relationships with executives, board members, and external partners.
  • Confidentiality & Professionalism – Handling sensitive information with discretion and integrity.
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
  • Valid state driver’s license.
  • Must be 21 or over.
