Warehouse Associate/Forklift Operator

Excelsior Wood Products is growing and we are currently seeking hard working Warehouse Associate/Forklift Operators at our full service custom wood mill.

Excelsior Wood Products is a small, family owned business located in historic Kingston, NY. We have the capability to manufacture both new and a limited number of reclaimed wood products including mouldings, flooring, decking, siding, and paneling to name a few. Responsibilities:

• Operate a forklift.
• Assist in the shipping and receiving of products, including loading and unloading trucks, ensuring all procedures are followed including all paperwork being completed accurately.
• Build pallets as needed for shipping of various wood products.
• Examine incoming material for damage and reporting any seen in a timely fashion.
• Pull and count material as required.
• Clean and maintain work areas.
• Ability to work in a face-paced environment with fluctuating temperatures and conditions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a forklift operator is preferred.
• Knowledge of shipping and receiving is preferred.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 75lbs ) multiple times throughout the day.

Mandatory drug testing and background check are required prior to employment.

Preferred education: High School Diploma

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.50 - $20.00 per hour
