Full-time Community Hab & Respite Services Supervisor
Exceptional Family Resources (EFR), a growing Syracuse-based not-for-profit agency, is currently seeking a full-time Community Habilitation & Respite Supervisor to oversee services from our Syracuse and Oswego offices.
Position Summary: Oversee the development and implementation of community habilitation and respite services for people with developmental disabilities in Onondaga and Oswego Counties; supervise Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) providing community-based supports
Main Position Responsibilities:
- Oversee community habilitation and respite services, work closely with service recipients and their families, care managers, DSPs, and other service providers to ensure services meet the needs of the person
- Develop and maintain Staff Action Plans and safeguards, train staff, ensure plans and safeguards are effectively implemented
- Assess and identify individual's strengths and areas of improvement to develop staff supports
- Supervise and monitor the work of the DSPs through on-site visits, feedback from service recipients and families served, and documentation provided by DSPs
- Facilitate introductions between potential staff and service recipients
- Recruit, train, and develop 1:1 support staff
- Ensure all services and documentation comply with Medicaid billing standards
Education, Experience, and Other Requirements:
- 1-2 years related experience working with people with Developmental Disabilities preferred
- Familiarity with OPWDD requirements and oversight of disability services preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Human Service-related field preferred
- Reliable transportation required
- Current auto insurance, valid NYS driver's license, and acceptable driving record required
- Knowledge of computer systems and usage preferred (Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher)
- Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community and abide by EFR's technology policy.
Salary: The starting salary is $44,235 and increases based on experience and education. The maximum salary is $48,235. To receive the maximum salary, applicant must have 10 years of experience and a Bachelor's Degree.
Primary Office Location: Oswego, NY and Syracuse, NY
