Self-Direction DSP -Mattydale Area (Job #ES-EG)
Exceptional Family Resources is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to work in the Mattydale area with a 16-year-old boy providing respite services. He enjoys listening to music, watching TV, visiting the library and stores as well as going for walks in the neighborhood.
In this role you will need to be comfortable with personal care and transferring him in and out of his wheelchair when needed. Along with transporting him and his wheelchair in your car. Respite services can either be provided in the home or out in the community.
We are looking for individuals who are dependable and enthusiastic; prior experience in the field is a plus. Reliable transportation is required. Specific training for this individual will be provided by the family.
Hiring for after-school hours, Monday through Friday starting at 3:00pm for a couple of hours along with potential for weekend shift(s), 10 hours per week. DSP schedule can be flexible; the family is willing to accept support in any combination of days. During the summer the start/end time can be flexible.
The payrate is $22/hr with reimbursement for mileage and the staff's fees for participation in any activities.
