Self-Direction DSP - Syracuse/Cicero Area (Job #SS-LW)
Exceptional Family Resources is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to work in the Syracuse/Cicero area with a woman with a mild intellectual disability. She is looking for a dedicated DSP to provide support and assist her with working on her goals, both at home and in community settings.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to accompanying and supporting her during community outings, assisting her to gain independent living skills, supporting her with health and safety and providing transportation.
We are looking for individuals who are reliable, patient, and enthusiastic. Prior experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities a plus. Reliable vehicle and a valid NYS driver's license are required. Background check, fingerprinting and DMV record check will be conducted prior to hire by the non-profit agency. Approximately 12 hours per week. Possible opportunity for additional hours in the future.
Schedule as follows:
Wed: 3:30pm-6:00pm (requires DSP to pick her up at her work location in Syracuse at 3:30pm and bring her to her home in Cicero at the end of service time)
Thurs: 3:30pm-6:00pm (requires DSP to pick her up at her work location in Syracuse at 3:30pm and bring her to her home in Cicero at the end of service time)
Fri: 3:30pm-6:00pm (requires DSP to pick her up at her work location in Syracuse at 3:30pm and bring her to her home in Cicero at the end of service time)
Every other Saturday: approximately10:00am-2:00pm (flexible)
Pay rate:
Currently $22 per hour
Background check, fingerprinting and DMV record check will be conducted prior to hire by the non-profit agency.
