What are the responsibilities and job description for the Self-Direction DSP - Kirkville/Bridgeport Area (Job #SS-AC) position at Exceptional Family Resources?
Exceptional Family Resources is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to work in the Kirkville/Bridgeport area with a young lady with a mild intellectual disability. She and her family are looking for a dedicated DSP to provide support and assist her with working on her goals, both at home and in community settings. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: transportation, accompanying and supporting her during community outings, assisting her to gain independent living skills at home and in the community and supporting her with health and safety. We are looking for individuals who are reliable, patient, and enthusiastic. Prior experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities a plus. Reliable transportation, valid NYS driver's license and a HS diploma/GED are required. Background check, fingerprinting and DMV record check will be conducted prior to hire by the non-profit agency.
Approx 15-20 hours per week. Additional weekend hours may be available. Multiple staff may be considered.
Schedule as follows:
Mon-Fri: 7:30/8:00am-9:00am
Must be available to drop her off at work on the east side of Syracuse at 9:00am
Mon-Fri: 12:00pm-2:00/3:00pm
Must be able to pick her up at work on the east side of Syracuse at 12:00pm
Additional weekend hours may be available. Multiple staff may be considered.
Pay rate: $21/hr (will be increasing to $24/hr)
Background check, fingerprinting and DMV record check will be conducted prior to hire by the non-profit agency.
