Exceptional Family Resources is seeking a Direct Support Professional to work in the Syracuse area with a young man who requires assistance due to an intellectual disability. The individual is looking for a dedicated staff to provide him with support and assist him with maintaining his independence both at school and in community settings. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to assisting with attending school, working on self-advocacy skills, and teaching independent living skills.
We are looking for individuals who are reliable, patient, and enthusiastic. Prior experience a plus. Reliable vehicle and a valid New York State driver's license are required.
Work hours are dependent on individual's class schedule, and occasional hours on weekends and holidays as needed. Flexibility to fill-in for other staff a plus. The pay rate is $20 per hour. EFR is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
