CT / Radiology Tech
The CT / Rad Tech (RT) performs x-ray and CT scans ordered by the Emergency Room Physician and assists all providers with tasks delegated and within their scope of practice. RTs are responsible for maintaining quality, safety and customer-focused service. RTs educate patients and family members regarding studies performed during their Emergency Room visit.
QUALIFICATIONS :
- Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
- At least 2 years of radiologic / imaging experience and CT experience
- Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
- Current State licensure and BLS Certification
- Problem solving abilities - ability and initiative to intervene immediately if needed for patient safety
- Ability to read, write and communicate with patients, caregivers and other medical professionals.
- Computer proficiency in healthcare context - EMR, documentation, safety, compliance
- Excellent Customer Service
- Courtesy and respect for every staff member
- Documents all findings accurately
- Completes documentation for females of childbearing age and diabetic patients
- Accurate documentation of lab testing, critical values, and communications.
- Maintains patient log for CT and x-ray.
- Performs all daily equipment checks for quality assurance.
- Maintains the facility in clean working order in accordance with OSHA and reports any equipment failure or deficiencies to the Radiology Manager
- Accurately documents any incidents and reports them to Radiology Director.
- Uses Biohazard containers correctly.
