What are the responsibilities and job description for the Radiology Tech position at Exceptional Healthcare Inc.?
The Radiology Technologist (RT) performs x-ray and CT scans ordered by the Emergency Room Physician and assists all providers with tasks delegated and within their scope of practice. Radiology Technologists are responsible for maintaining quality, safety, and customer-focused service. Radiology Technologists educate patients and family members regarding studies performed during their Emergency Room visit.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
- At least 2 years of radiologic/imaging experience and CT experience
- Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
- Current State licensure and BCLS Certification
- Problem solving abilities - ability and initiative to intervene immediately if needed for patient safety
- Ability to read, write and communicate with patients, caregivers and other medical professionals.
- Computer proficiency in healthcare context - EMR, documentation, safety, compliance
Job Duties:
- Excellent Customer Service
- Courtesy and respect for every staff member
- Documents all findings accurately
- Completes documentation for females of childbearing age and diabetic patients
- Accurate documentation of lab testing, critical values, and communications.
- Initiates IV access with physician’s order and obtains specimens for laboratory testing.
- Maintains patient log for CT and x-ray.
- Performs all daily lab and equipment checks for quality assurance.
- Maintains the facility in clean working order in accordance with OSHA and reports any equipment failure or deficiencies to the Nurse Manager.
- Accurately documents any incidents and reports them to the Nurse Manager and Physician on duty.
- Uses Biohazard containers correctly.
Salary : $38 - $45
