What are the responsibilities and job description for the Store Manager/Retail Sales position at Exchange (Army Air Force Exchange Services)?
As a STORE MANAGER, you will plan, manage, and direct retail store operations dealing with merchandising, selling, stocking, promoting and reordering of goods, financials, and personnel.
Environmental regulations are stringent.
As a volume-based position, grading is dependent on maintaining sales in accordance with published Volume Standards.
Job Qualification:
- Able to learn and adapt to current technology needs
- 3 years retail management experience within last 5 years, Or
- Bachelor’s degree and 1 year retail management experience within the last 5 years.
- Fuel management compliance within 3 months of assuming position.

LSP is authorized for eligible candidates.
Major Duties:
- Oversees the operations of a retail branch store.
- Establishes financial goals to maximize sales, profit, SSR, productivity, turns, and inventory.
- Maintains compliance, as applicable, in loss prevention, accounting, money transfers, internal controls, environmental issues and EPA/environmental agencies/organizations policies.
- Evaluates and enhances customer service and customer satisfaction.
- Supervises, trains, develops, hires, and schedules associates for current positions and future growth.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
