We are seeking an individual who will whole-heartedly take responsibility for ensuring Hotel Drover successfully delivers Legendary Service to every guest, every day.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Embody the Shared Values Guiding Principles of Hotel Drover
- Promote and embody the HD vision and shared values; you infuse sales practices with the spirit of the Hotel Drover brand and culture
- Strong understanding of social event planning such as but not limited to; Wedding, Birthday parties, rehearsal dinners, pre and post banquets, showers, and retirement parties.
- Proactively develop and nurture relationships with key accounts, community organizations, and professional associations ensuring you maintain high visibility and increase market share
- Strategically solicit, negotiate, and book new and repeat business through various sales efforts including mindful prospecting, site tours, sales blitzes, timely and intentional follow-up on leads/referrals, use of reader board analysis, and networking in order to maximize room as well as food and beverage revenues
- Deliver Legendary Service to existing accounts and ensure successful management of all accounts
- Maintain a high level of relevant knowledge and expertise related to your market segment
- Successfully achieve or exceed quarterly pace/production goals based on assigned markets
- Successfully achieve weekly sales activities including reporting on and tracking weekly progress toward sales/relationship goals
- Successfully negotiate and execute contracts
- Create and conduct on-brand sales presentations and site tours to potential clients
- Build creative proposals that speaks to the need of the client and brings their vision to life – the proposal is part of the client’s experience
- Build long-lasting, meaningful relationships within your market
- Contribution in implementing special promotions relating to direct sales segments i.e., sales blitzes, etc.
- Participate in Daily/Weekly Sales Meeting
- Assist with any other duties as requested by the VP, General Manager or Director of Sales and Marketing
- Attend trade shows as required/needed
- Support the building of a best-in-class Marriott Autograph Collection Hotel.
- Ability to manage multiple functions and deliver results in a demanding, fast-paced environment.
- Adherence to all policies stated in the Team Member handbook
