WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW: PLEASE READ
- Location: You must be based within 120 miles of Hammon, OK.
- Age: You need to be at least 25 years old to work in this capacity.
- Independent Contractor: This is a 1099 position, offering commission-based compensation—there’s no base or hourly pay.
- Driver’s License & Reliable Transportation: A valid driver’s license and dependable transportation are required for travel to meet students and host families.
- U.S. Residency: You must be a year-round U.S. resident with authorization to work in the U.S.
- Background Check: A background check is required in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Emergency Housing: Be willing to provide temporary housing in a spare room in your home for a student in case of an emergency.
What You’ll Do:
- Recruitment & Orientation: Spark interest in the life-changing experience of hosting an exchange student by engaging with families in your community. You'll help guide them through the process, ensuring they are prepared for a rewarding cultural journey.
- Matchmaking for Success: Be the matchmaker! Pair students with host families based on shared interests and goals, creating meaningful relationships and unforgettable experiences.
- Ongoing Support: Serve as the dedicated point of contact for both students and host families, offering advice, answering questions, and checking in regularly to ensure everyone is thriving.
- Training & Empowerment: Lead training sessions that equip students and host families with the knowledge and tools needed for a smooth and successful exchange experience.
- Relationship Building: Build lasting relationships with host families, schools, and local organizations to strengthen the program and create a network of support for everyone involved.
- Program Monitoring & Support: Keep track of students' progress during the exchange, offering guidance and resolving any issues that may arise, ensuring both students and families have the best experience possible.
- Documentation & Reporting: Stay organized by maintaining records of student progress, feedback, and outcomes, ensuring compliance with program standards and helping to report on successes.
