Description

The Member Relationship Manager I helps business and retail Members build financial success through new membership, deposit accounts, loans, and exceptional financial services. Team Members will participate in branch, community partner, and business development events supporting the community and growing relationships. Requirements

Key Performance Expectations:

  • Deliver exceptional member service by actively supporting the Purpose, Values and Strategies of Excite Credit Union
  • Represent the credit union to the member in a courteous and professional manner. Is responsible for prompt, efficient and accurate service in processing all member requests ? Build strong member relationships by providing information and education regarding Credit Union products and services
  • Promptly resolves member requests and complaints in a respectful, caring and satisfactory way ? Maintain strong and up to date digital and technology skill set, used to support and effectively serve member needs ? Open new accounts and consumer loan applications
  • Seek out all occasions to pursue opportunities to cross-sell products and services and to educate members about their financial situation
  • Process approved consumer loan applications through booking and funding, communicating with the member throughout the loan process, and finalizing the loan. Explains loan terms and counsels members when disbursing funds
  • Complete a variety of forms, reports, and other procedures for completing loan documents; processing loan forms and files; maintaining loan files; inputting data using a personal computer; disbursing checks to members; and preparing extension agreements for submission to the loan officer ? May be responsible for handling cash and other negotiables ? Remain abreast of all consumer protection laws and regulations pertaining to consumer lending and all disclosure requirements
  • Maintain up to date knowledgeable of, and ensure that Service Standards, as defined and established by the credit union
  • Remain current on all promotional campaigns, department/credit union policies and procedures for processing telephone and online requests
  • Ensure sales goals do not interfere with doing what is best for the member, the team and the credit union. Evaluates member needs and completes appropriate forms to comply with requests
  • Make effective referrals to other specialists when appropriate
  • Remain abreast of company policies and procedures, promotional campaigns and regulatory compliance related to job functions
  • Perform other duties, as assigned

Required Experience and Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years customer service experience in a financial institution including new accounts and consumer loans
  • Strong technical acumen
  • Demonstrated ability to be fiscally responsible

Desired Experience and Education

  • Credit Union experience
  • Bilingual a plus

Slight travel among branches


Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job the employee may be required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to walk and reach with hands and arms and stand for long periods of time. The employee is required to occasionally sit, stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.


Work Environment

Generally, travels and performs job duties outside of the typical office setting with minimum time in an office environment. Team Member will be exposed to moderate stress levels associated with the performance of the job duties described above. There may be extended periods of computer and telephone use while performing job duties. Employee will be intermittently seated, standing and/or walking during the course of a normal business day. While every precaution is taken to avoid exposing employees to dangers in the workplace, working in a financial institution may expose employees to certain hazards in the event of criminal activity including robbery and/or attempted robbery.
