What are the responsibilities and job description for the Aircraft Maintenance Technician Weekends position at Exec 1 Aviation?
General Aviation Aircraft Maintenance Technician position at Exec 1 Aviation in Ankeny Iowa at the Ankeny Regional Airport. Responsible for performing routine maintenance and inspections in a timely manner to Exec 1, FAA and customer approved maintenance requirements. Applicants must currently hold an A&P license or are eligible to obtain FAA Form 8610-2 and have a thorough working knowledge of all current FAA Regulations with the ability to deliver quality work in a safe, clean and efficient manner. Typical daily duties include oil changes, 100 Hour Inspections, removal and disassembly of defective parts; assembly and installation of replacement parts, Phase Inspections, and other miscellaneous shop duties. This position will have a work schedule of Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday 10 hour days.
SKILLS
· Ability to read, use and understand various digital maintenance manuals, illustrated parts catalogs etc (ATP, 1View).
· Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with coworkers and customers while working as a team or individually.
· Ability to logically understand and analyze technical/inspection issues and resolve them.
· Ability to operate and occasionally maintain ground support equipment such as scissor lifts, tractors, tugs, plows, forklifts, etc
· Available to work overtime, or weekends infrequently when required to meet delivery deadlines
· Ability to concisely, effectively and efficiently maintain and produce required documentation to meet FAA regulations and Exec 1 procedures both written and typed.
REQUIREMENTS
- Airframe and Powerplant license (A&P) or are eligible to obtain FAA Form 8610-2
- Driver’ s License
- Pre-employment drug screening and random drug testing
- Provide own basic tools
- Piston Aircraft focus with opportunities for advancement
- All other duties and instruction as assigned by superiors.
