Position Summary
Create, implement, monitor, and audit quality systems and procedures. Utilize statistical techniques to improve process/product quality and reliability. Coordinate and implement Quality Assurance activities with Sales and Manufacturing Engineering, and Production in new product introductions including supporting the launch process with PPAP submissions. Review product quality problems for corrective action. In conjunction with other engineers, develops and researches new processes or improvements to existing processes and tooling.

Essential Responsibilities
- Perform Layered Process, In-Process, and End of Line Auditing & and make suggestions for improvement based on those findings
- Create and implement Quality systems and documentation
- Determine incoming inspection requirements. Perform critical inspections. Train others on inspection methods.
- Build positive customer and supplier relationships
- Respond to, analyze, and resolve field complaints
- Lead corrective action activities
- Maintain Quality Log (customer complaints, corrective actions, supplier rejects).
- Create and implement Quality standards
- Work with outside auditors on any standards that J-Star must meet (UL, ISO, etc.)
- Participate in root cause analysis
- Assist in the development of Quality KPIs
Education & Experience:
- Two years’ previous experience in quality
- Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field preferred
- APQP experience
- Customer Service experience
- Must be familiar with ISO 9001 or similar certifications
- Must be familiar with 1401 or ITF Technologies
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills as well as strong team-building skills
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to effectively lead a team in problem resolution
