The Big Picture - Top Skills You Should Possess : -Able to work independently with minimal supervisor oversight -Able to manage multiple tasks and projects -Experience with AutoCAD, MicroStation, and Civil 3D -Experience with Asset Suite 8, and / or SAP PM asset management software -Experience in working in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) -Familiarity with structural analysis software, such as STAAD Pro, FAD, SAFE, STRUDL, ANSYS, MATHCAD, SAG10, and LPile -Familiarity with design codes and standards such as IBC, ASCE 7, AISC, N690, ACI 318, and ACI 349, EPRI, AEIC, ASTM, NESC, IBC, CSA, IEEE -Detail orientated with good analytical and problem-solving skills What You'll Be Doing : -Review substation structure design, rigid bus design, foundation design, oil spill containment design, retaining walls, masonry control shelters, and associated facilities -Perform structural analysis and design of steel frames, connections, concrete members, equipment, and foundations -Develop project estimates and schedules, evaluate design options and criteria, and develop list of materials necessary to support client project authorization process and bid documents -Conduct field visits to verify routing conditions and design parameters, and factory visits to ensure compliance with material specification and product quality -Work with vendors and clients to specify project components and review drawings for manufacturers and use pertinent information in the production of design drawings -Perform design and constructability review of civil and structural design project components -Utilize the appropriate PPE and maintain a safe working environment adhering to the highest level of safety standards meeting ExecuPOWER's and client's safety standards What You Need to Bring to the Table : -Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil or Structural engineering from ABET accredited engineering program -Engineer-in-Training () Certification is a plus -0-2 years experience in civil engineering design in electric utility industry What's In It for You? -401K Plan, paid holidays, paid PTO, full medical plans (medical, dental, vision and prescription), life insurance -Flexible work schedule -Internal advancement -Growing company- 176% 2-year growth -Lunch and Learns Add Associate Structural Engineer Posting
