Construction Manager - T & D Location : Southeast Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, MississippiTravel : Required with overnight stays throughout assigned territoryExecuPOWER is a full-service, certified women-owned engineering consulting firm that provides design and project services to the power industry. The Construction Manager is responsible for leading and managing construction activities for multiple capital projects. This role requires in-depth construction knowledge and project oversight experience to ensure safe and efficient project execution. The Construction Manager collaborates with engineering, project management, and field teams to maintain compliance with safety, quality, and environmental regulations while ensuring projects meet scope, schedule, and budget requirements.What you will be doing : Oversee and manage multiple construction projects, ensuring adherence to scope and budget.Conduct and lead site field / scope visits with internal and external stakeholders.Support RFP development and participate in contractor selection.Review and approve EPC Contractor's construction plans and outage requirements.Ensure project schedule development includes accurate outage planning.Verify ROW and environmental permits before construction commencement.Lead and coordinate contractor pre-construction / safety kickoff meetings.Monitor construction work to ensure compliance with design and quality standards.Approve contractor invoices and ensure timely accruals.Work with Project Controls to ensure accurate financial tracking and reporting.Coordinate with operations teams to ensure project constructability and maintainability.Oversee SWPPP and SPCC compliance.Identify and mitigate risks related to safety and environmental concerns.Provide comprehensive project updates to senior management.Ensure construction productivity tracker is updated daily.Top Skills you need to possess : Education : Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Construction Management or other approved discipline. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.Experience : 5-10 years of experience in transmission, substation, or distribution line work. Direct experience managing large-scale utility construction projects is strongly preferred.Skills : Strong understanding of transmission and distribution (T&D) construction, including industry standards and best and the safe operation of line equipment.Familiarity with OSHA Standard 1926, including Subpart V (Power Transmission and Distribution).Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), Outlook, SharePoint, and internet applications.Strong project management and leadership skills.Advanced understanding of construction scheduling and cost control.Experience with regulatory permitting and compliance processes.Ability to coordinate multiple projects, ensuring adherence to schedules, budgets, and safety requirements.Strong problem-solving and risk mitigation skills, with the ability to anticipate and resolve construction-related challenges.Effective leadership and communication skills, with the ability to engage with contractors, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.Willingness to travel extensively.
