What You'll Be Doing
- Manage and oversee the conflicts and new business intake process, including review of conflict reports, intake requests, and lateral hire screenings.
- Provide high-level analysis and assess potential conflicts for new matters, lateral hires, and RFPs.
- Serve as the escalation point for conflicts-related issues, working closely with the Conflicts Partners, attorneys, and firm leadership.
- Guide and enforce firm policies related to conflicts checks, engagement letters, and waivers.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of Conflicts Analysts and New Business Intake Analysts.
- Monitor workflow, allocate resources, and ensure accurate and timely delivery of conflicts services.
- Identify and implement process, policy, and technology improvements to increase efficiency and compliance.
- Collaborate across departments to maintain compliance with ethical obligations and support firmwide strategic goals.
- J.D. degree (required); must be licensed to practice law.
- 5 years of experience conducting legal conflict checks.
- Prior management experience strongly preferred, though the firm is open to rising talent with strong potential.
- Strong analytical and communication skills; ability to assess complex situations and deliver sound recommendations.
- Demonstrated understanding of legal ethics, risk management, and compliance standards in a law firm setting.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and sound judgment when handling sensitive firm and client information.
- A collaborative approach and strong leadership abilities with the confidence to protect the firm’s interests.
- Experience with Aderant and Intapp is a plus.
