What You Get To Do
- Oversee part-time and full-time dietary staff
- Hiring, training and mentoring of staff
- Coordinate dietary services and activities
- Assist in developing and implementing policies and procedures for the department
- Oversee departmental budget
- Participate in care plan meetings for residents
- Inventory management and inspection of food storage rooms, utility closets and kitchen
- Ensure menus and recipes are maintained and updated
- Review dietary requirements of each resident to adhere to physician's requirements
- Assist in the purchase of food service supplies and equipment
- 5 years with experience in foodservice in a healthcare setting
- 2 years of demonstrated management/leadership skills
- Prefer a Certified Dietary Manager but will support a candidate for the certification
- Experience with ServSave training preferred (willing to support providing this for viable candidates)
