Pharmacy Director - Hospital
Location: Lincoln, NE
Shift: Primarily Days (Pharmacies operate 24/7)
Our client, a leading healthcare organization, is seeking a dynamic Pharmacy Director to lead the hospital's pharmacy operations across two campuses. This is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing clinical, administrative, and operational activities within the pharmacy departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all pharmacy services, ensuring safe and efficient medication delivery.
- Oversee the 340B Drug Pricing Program, collaborating with finance, legal, and senior leadership for compliance.
- Manage pharmaceutical inventory and control systems while optimizing cost-effective purchasing.
- Ensure compliance with state, federal, and Joint Commission regulatory standards.
- Develop and implement clinical pharmacy services aligned with patient care objectives.
- Provide mentorship and leadership to pharmacy staff and maintain effective recruitment and retention strategies.
Requirements:
- 5 years of hospital pharmacy experience (retail-only experience will not be considered).
- 3 years of management experience (manager or director level).
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with the 340B Drug Pricing Program.
- PharmD required; completion of a hospital pharmacy residency is preferred.
- A master’s degree in Hospital Pharmacy Administration, MBA, or MHA is required.
- Must hold or be eligible for pharmacist licensure in the State of Nebraska.
