Job Description
- Oversight of the purchasing process from quotation to vendor negotiation, ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement.
- Tracking of purchase orders, management of backorders, and collaboration with vendors to resolve issues proactively.
- Identification and onboarding of new suppliers to diversify sourcing and strengthen the supply chain.
- Collaboration with internal teams to align procurement strategies with business needs.
- Analysis of data to optimize inventory levels and ensure product availability.
Responsibilities
- Procurement Process Management: From quotation to vendor negotiation, ensure timely and cost-effective procurement.
- Purchase Order Tracking and Backorder Management: Monitor and manage purchase orders, and collaborate with vendors to resolve issues proactively.
- Sourcing Diversification: Identify and onboard new suppliers to strengthen the supply chain and reduce reliance on single vendors.
- Supply Chain Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with internal teams to align procurement strategies with business needs.
- Data Analysis: Analyze data to optimize inventory levels and ensure product availability.
Requirements
- 2 years of experience in purchasing, preferably in a manufacturing, fabrication, or machining environment.
- Strong negotiation skills with a keen ability to drive supplier performance and cost savings.
- Experience working with ERP systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred, but hands-on experience valued equally.
