Executive Alliance is pleased to represent our client who are a leading midmarket provider of premium travel accessories. They are headquartered in eastern Nassau County, Long Island, New York.
They seek a dynamic and results-driven Director of Sales to lead sales efforts through the company's esteemed distribution and wholesale partnerships. This role will be responsible for developing and executing strategic sales plans to drive revenue growth through partnerships with global retailers, boutique carriers, e-commerce and other key industry players. The ideal leader will possess a deep understanding of premium and luxury consumer accessory distribution frameworks while holding a proven track record of success in wholesale sales and relationship management.
NOTE: The ideal prospect should be located within the tri-state metropolitan New York region with accessibility to company HQ.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Sales Leadership
- Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve and exceed revenue targets within the wholesale channel.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, expanding our network of wholesale partners.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activity to inform sales strategies and identify growth opportunities.
Wholesale Account Management
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key wholesale accounts, ensuring exceptional customer service and satisfaction.
- Negotiate and manage contracts and agreements with wholesale partners.
- Provide training and support to wholesale partners, ensuring they are equipped to effectively sell our luxury travel products.
Sales Team Leadership
- Guide a high-performing sales team, providing coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
- Set clear sales goals and objectives, and monitor team performance against targets.
- Foster a collaborative and results-oriented sales culture.
Brand & Marketing Positioning
- Develop a deep understanding of the company’s brand strategy and product offerings.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows and conferences.
- Provide 360 feedback to product development teams to ensure that solutions meet the needs of the wholesale market and consumer audiences.
- Maintain tight collaboration with marketing leadership on competitive products landscape, routes-to-market, pricing models, audience segmentations and GTM partnerships.
Reporting and Analysis
- Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts, providing insights into sales performance and market trends.
- Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of sales strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in sales, with a proven track record of success in wholesale sales within the premium and/or luxury product markets.
- Strong understanding of the wholesale and distribution channels.
- Exceptional negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and partners.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to travel as needed.
- Experience with CRM software, and sales tracking software.
