Vice President, Biopharma Sales - Remote Position
A leading player in the production of cell-free DNA and RNA, enabling the genetic medicine revolution is seeking a highly motivated, results-oriented VP of Sales to lead their sales organization and drive revenue growth. The compensation range for this position is from $275k to $350k DOE. This is a remote position. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success managing B2B sales within the biopharmaceutical manufacturing, bioprocessing, genetic medicine, pharmaceutical, or related industries, with a strong understanding of bioprocessing manufacturing technologies and applications. This role involves hiring and managing a sales team, identifying and developing new business opportunities, creating and executing sales strategies, managing existing accounts, and exceeding sales targets. You will provide customer and market-based input for product and services roadmaps and marketing programs and actively participate with management in periodic business planning, product updates, and financial forecast meetings. This is a completely remote position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following;
- Develop and execute sales strategies through collaboration with executive team.
- Meet and exceed sales targets, contributing significantly to overall financial objectives.
- Drive revenue growth through successful negotiation and closing of key deals.
- Attend industry events and conferences, including potential speaking engagements
- Provide accurate sales forecasting
- CRM development and management
- Build and strengthen existing client relationships through effective communication and partnerships.
- Identify new business opportunities and market trends, ensuring a competitive edge
- Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics.
- Provide insights and recommendations for adapting business strategies.
- Deliver compelling sales presentations to both internal and external clients.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant scientific discipline (biology, chemistry, or related field)
- Proven track record with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in sales and or business development in the biopharmaceutical manufacturing, bioprocessing, genetic medicine, pharmaceutical, or related fields.
- Prior experience with biopharmaceutical manufacturing contract service providers (CRO, CMO, and or CDMO) is preferred.
- Extensive existing biopharmaceutical manufacturing industry contacts/network is preferred.
- Willingness to travel within the U.S.
- Ability to work in an entrepreneurial environment where a self-motivated individual can excel.
- Exceptional negotiation skills with a track record of closing complex deals.
- Ability to adapt to evolving industry trends and changing business landscapes.
- Experience with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
