Our team is committed to excellence, and we're seeking a skilled and dedicated Collision Estimator / Service Advisor to ensure our customers receive the best service possible.

Job Overview:

  • As a Collision Estimator / Service Advisor, you will be the primary point of contact between our customers and the repair shop. The ideal candidate will provide customers with exceptional service and support throughout their vehicle repair experience. This role requires a strong understanding of auto body services, excellent communication skills, and the ability to effectively manage customer expectations while driving sales.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service:
  • Greet customers warmly and assess their service needs on a walk-in or appointment basis.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the customer throughout the repair process, from the point of drop-off through delivering the completed vehicle.
  • Foster positive relationships with customers.
  • Manage customer inquiries and resolve any issues or concerns promptly.
  • Manage communications with all internal & external stakeholders for each repair.
  • Estimating:
  • Examine damaged vehicles to determine the extent of structural, body, mechanical, or interior damage.
  • Utilize service writing skills to communicate effectively with customers regarding their vehicle's condition and recommended services.
  • Provide detailed explanations of repairs required.
  • Upsell additional services when appropriate.
  • Estimate the cost of labor and parts needed for repair or replacement.
  • Demonstrate strong sales abilities.
  • Production Management:
  • Create and maintain accurate repair orders (RO's) and documentation.
  • Check in vehicle upon drop off from customer.
  • Work with insurance companies to process claims.
  • Document repair orders in accordance with BAR requirements, including obtaining proper authorizations.
  • Comply with all safety rules, guidelines and standards
  • Collaborate with technicians to ensure timely completion of services while maintaining quality standards.
  • Order required parts from preferred vendors.
  • Manage parts gross profit.
  • Monitor parts delivery status.
  • Communicate status to the repair team and Shop Manager.
  • Complete total loss administration.
  • Provide regular updates to customers on the status of their repairs.
  • Conduct Quality Checks:
  • Manage each repair throughout the process and ensure quality standards are met by performing in-process QC.
  • Conduct pre- and post-scans on vehicles.
  • Final QC, including test drive.
  • Deliver Vehicles:
  • Prepare and complete proper paperwork for final customer packet prior to vehicle delivery.
  • Handle disbursement paperwork.
  • Provide post-repair plan communication including all vehicle status updates.
  • Address exceptions in the file.
  • Ensure carrier-specific requirements are completed.
  • Deliver vehicle to customer upon completion.
  • Expand professional knowledge and skills:
  • Learn the necessary skills required to move to the next level of the career ladder.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring a world class customer service experience.

Requirements:

  • 2 years experience as a high-performing collision estimator.
  • 2 years experience With CCC ONE.
  • Experienced in writing collision estimates in a fast-paced environment.
  • Personable, friendly demeanor with excellent customer service abilities.
  • Strong sales orientation.
  • Knowledge of collision repair process including high-level knowledge of insurance procedures and requirements for a variety of carriers.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.

Nice To Have:

  • Non-DRP shop experience.
  • I-Car Certification(s).
  • ASE Certification(s).
  • Fluent in Spanish.

Pay: $55,432.00 - $106,810.00 per year
