Position Overview:
The Vice President of Sales will lead a sales team of 4 team leads and 16 field reps. This role requires a leader who is not only adept at driving sales and opening new markets but also someone who is passionate about mentorship, leadership development, and building a team culture grounded in shared values. The ideal candidate will treat the business as their own, take ownership, and be a proactive problem-solver.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a sales team of 4 team leads and 16 field reps.
- Assess and build up new team members for management roles, focusing on leadership development.
- Take ownership of expanding into new markets, treating them as their own business units.
- Work collaboratively with the owner, open to feedback and continuous improvement.
- Travel to Austin every 2-3 weeks and be present for 2-3 days per visit; travel to new markets as required (1-2 weeks for new market openings).
- Attend any challenges proactively with a solution-oriented mindset.
- Oversee the implementation of a new CRM system (may involve switching to Zendesk).
- Monitor and report on sales metrics, team morale, and feedback to ensure continuous improvement.
- Maintain the company's strong culture of brotherhood, camaraderie, and mutual support, especially during challenging times.
Work Schedule:
- Summer & Winter:
- Summer: Tuesday-Friday 11 AM - 8 PM, Saturday 8 AM - 5 PM
- Winter: Tuesday-Friday 9 AM - 6 PM
- Days Off: Sunday and Monday
- Expectation: Willingness to work 6 days a week and beyond 40 hours as needed.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a senior sales leadership role within the construction or roofing industry
- Strong track record of mentoring and developing sales teams.
- Experience in new market expansion and scaling operations.
- Solution-oriented mindset with a focus on results.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to values-driven leadership and building a supportive, faith-based team culture.
- Willingness to travel regularly and work extended hours as needed.

Position Title: VP of Sales
Location: Dallas, TX
Salary: $150,000 base $100,000 bonus
Benefits: Company truck, gas card, travel, full benefits after 60 days, 401k with 5% match after 12 months
