Job Description
We are seeking an Estimator with 3 - 5 years of experience in the architectural millwork industry, and a minimum of 1-2 years of use of Innergy software experience. The Estimator will generate accurate and competitive proposals for various millwork projects. The ideal candidate must have a strong understanding of architectural millwork, excellent analytical skills, and a high level of proficiency with Innergy software to create accurate and competitive proposals.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate, detailed proposals for architectural millwork projects via Innergy.
- Collaborate in Innergy with the estimating and operations team to maintain an accurate product library and maintain and develop the estimating process.
- Review architectural & Interior drawings, and project specifications to ensure all requirements are captured in the proposals.
- Ensure accuracy of proposals and bid submissions by collaborating with project managers, designers, and clients.
- Source vendor and subcontractor quotes per project requirements to determine the best material options for cost-effective solutions and offer value-engineered options when appropriate.
- Generate material quantities, labor estimates, and cost breakdowns for millwork projects.
- Assist the operations team in maintaining the material library and labor library costs up to date. Ensuring proposals are accurate and reflect current market conditions.
- Monitor project budgets and provide support in value engineering to optimize cost savings without compromising quality.
- Understand and help maintain company standards, quality expectations, and regulatory requirements to ensure positive outcomes based on proposals.
- Follow company standards for document control to ensure proper transfer of details between departments.
Qualifications
- 3 years of experience as an Estimator in the architectural millwork industry.
- Proficient in using Innergy software for estimating.
- Strong knowledge of architectural millwork processes, materials, and construction methods.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, interior design drawings, and specifications.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
- A degree in Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Experience with other estimating software is a plus, including, but not limited to, Planswift, ProjectPak, Bluebeam, Adobe, Microsoft Office Suite, and more.
- Familiarity with AWS construction standards.
Compensation
- Entry-level salary starts at $60,000. Competitive salary commensurate with experience.
