Purpose of Position
Direct the Executive Jet Management Aviation Safety Program including the identification of trends, hazard mitigation procedures and oversight of safety programs such as Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP), Flight Operations Quality Assurance and others. Provide the VP, Safety recommendations on how to minimize the risks involved in EJM flight operations to include all aspects of flight safety.
The Aviation Safety Director position is based in Cincinnati, OH at LUK airport.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Oversight and management of aviation safety programs such as the Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP), Flight Operations Quality Assurance and others as required. Facilitate and represent EJM on the ASAP committee and communicate outcomes.
- Perform data analysis and trending for flight hazards.
- Work with Flight Operations staff to recommend safety improvements for crew members.
- Manage and coordinate risk management and reduction strategies within the organization.
- Perform and coordinate incident, accident and irregular operations event investigations.
- Work with local and onsite entities to include the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) when required.
- Attend and represent EJM at industry and safety related function including our parent company.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other (KSAOs)
- Previous experience as a participant or leader of an aviation safety program.
- Experience with analysis of data and risk mitigation using statistical analysis, risk assessment and system engineering concepts.
- Experience as a PIC of a multi-engine, multi-crew turbojet aircraft
- Working knowledge and understanding of aviation safety programs, including Safety Management System (SMS), Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP), and Flight Operational Quality Assurance (FOQA).
- Outstanding analytical and problem solving abilities.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- PC Skills including: MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook)
