Senior Reporter and Content Developer

Executive Mosaic is a dynamic online media company that utilizes the reach of several news websites and four E-Newsletters to cover the ever-important breaking news in the Government Contracting marketplace. We are looking to hire a motivated Senior Reporter / Content Developer who can jump right into the middle of our operations in Tysons Corner. The successful candidate will write, edit and publish across all of our websites each day and will identify key targets in the govcon space to interview. The Senior Reporter / Content Developer will also assist in writing event blurbs for our GovCon focused events. They will report on events and industry news, write content for our publications, conduct interviews, and produce video content and social media content, while supporting marketing requirements for events, including development of recognition content for our awards.

Located in Northern Virginia’s Tysons Corner, our news team collaborates in an open office / hybrid environment to inform the public of the latest business, technological and political developments emanating from the capital region.

We invest heavily in our relationships with business and government executives and are dedicated to getting the inside word from the highest-level players on what will shape the market next. Senior Reporter / Content Developer – Responsibilities and Duties :

The successful candidate will write, edit and publish across all of our websites each day. This person will also research prospective interviewees for our Editor or themselves to interview. The Senior Reporter / Content Developer will be a self-starter who is able to look online, identify hot topics in government and govcon in order to help define topics for our publications. They will also work with our sales organization in preparing video content and customer profiles.

Senior Reporter / Content Developer Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in journalism or communications
• Experience working in AP Style
• Experience editing, proofreading, and writing professionally (2 years )
• Comfortable researching & identifying compelling GovCon related topics and the latest news for our publications
• Great communication and interpersonal skills
• A desire to go beyond the call of duty to produce the best content possible
• Familiarity with Wordpress, SEO, Social Media required
