We're seeking a forward-thinking and experienced Director of Technology to lead our IT function and help drive our business into the future through strategic and hands-on technology leadership.
Position Overview
The Director of Technology will report directly to the President and will be responsible for leading all aspects of the IT department, including infrastructure, cybersecurity, team leadership, and the implementation of scalable, innovative solutions that support our business goals. This role is pivotal in enhancing our operational efficiency and maintaining a secure and forward-looking technology environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Align IT strategies with company objectives to support business growth and innovation.
- Oversee IT infrastructure including systems design, implementation, maintenance, and upgrades.
- Lead and mentor a team of IT professionals, promoting a collaborative and performance-driven culture.
- Drive continuous improvement across manufacturing, customer experience, and operational systems.
- Ensure high standards in cybersecurity including firewall, VPN, and system monitoring protocols.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to integrate technology with production, sales, and administration.
- Manage IT budgets, vendor negotiations, and technology roadmaps.
- Stay abreast of technology trends relevant to the PEMB and manufacturing sectors.
Required Qualifications
Technical Expertise:
- Experience with VMware, NAS/SAN storage, Cisco/HP networking gear, firewalls (Cisco/Sonicwall), WAN/VPN, VOIP systems.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft and Linux servers, Active Directory/LDAP.
- Familiarity with business systems such as Zoho, AdobeSign, Domo, Conga, and NetSuite.
Leadership & Education:
- 10 years in IT leadership, ideally within manufacturing or industrial environments.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Exceptional team leadership and project management skills.
- Ability to communicate technical topics clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in PEMB or related manufacturing industries.
- Certifications such as CCNA, VMware VCP, Microsoft MCSE.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or hybrid cloud environments.
