The Planner is a deadline-driven production role motivated by the challenge of continuously improving sales forecasts and hitting organizational targets. The Planner plays an integral role in developing department goals and controls in fast paced manufacturing. The Planner will coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials within or between departments according to daily and weekly productions schedules. The Planner schedules Transportation and Telecom production requirements to ensure timely delivery of quality products to customers, consistent with engineering and quality documentation, while building a team focused on continuous improvement.
Duties:
Create and maintain production, work, and shipment schedules, prioritize job orders for production optimization.- Follow up as required with all teams to expedite flow of material and documents to meet production schedule and customer expectations.
- Interact with shop floor management on a daily basis to resolve issued regarding manufacturing efficiencies or to provide additional information as requested from Manufacturing, Customer Service, and Accounting.
- Confer with department supervisor to determine progress of work and completion dates; inventory levels and solving production problems.
- Maintain and track customer testing requirements, ensure testing has begun and competed in a timely manner.
- Ensure compliance to all applicable governmental, environmental, and ISO 9001 regulations, requirements as well as policies and procedures.
Requirements:
Associate degree in Supply Chain, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or a related field OR equivalent experience and evidence of exceptional ability- Minimum 2 years planning experience
- Understanding of ERP and Microsoft Office
- Understanding of sales forecasting techniques, purchasing lead times, and customer lead time requirements
