HVAC Estimator / Sales - Multi-Family

General Responsibility: The HVAC Multifamily Sales & Estimator’s primary duties include attending job walks, drafting and submitting estimates and bids, and cultivating new accounts. This position is also responsible for the management of their projects from turnover to operations and shall maintain a high level of communication between the client and our field operations department to ensure complete customer satisfaction. This position will also be responsible for staying involved in projects as necessary through their life cycle.

Significant Duties:

• Identify and analyze external opportunities and threats to the organization within a specific territory.
• Provide timely feedback regarding progress, market conditions, and competitors to the Sales Manager and other members of the Sales Team.
• Develop and initiate marketing techniques to strengthen and expand client base.
• Effectively manage client relationships to ensure ongoing business opportunities.
• Track sales performance to ensure established goals and quotas are met.
• Analyzes specifications and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates.
• Submit proposals and successfully bid on jobs to assure sales goals are met within margin and resource requirements.
• Maintain organized files and documentation of all sales and job activity.
• Processing contract extras in Excel and accounting software.
• Price contract extras on demand for various items in scope of work.
• Other duties or projects, as required or assigned.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Sales Experience Required; HVAC Service or HVAC Sales Experience a Plus
• 5 years’ experience in sales, estimating, project management
• Multifaceted experience in the HVAC/Mechanical field including HVAC sales market
• Ability to read mechanical plans.
• Intermediate to advanced MS Excel, general PC skills are required.
• Ability to be flexible, decisive, and work effectively under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
• Coordinate several major activities at once, while analyzing and resolving specific problems
• Establish and maintain good working relationships with many different people inside and outside of the company

Physical Requirements:

The position of HVAC Sales & Estimating requires that you are able to lift objects that weigh up to 25 pounds, squat, kneel, twist, bend, and work above head and below waist. Ability to sit for long periods, stand, walk, climb stairs and use of hands, fingers, wrist and arms. Occasionally driving to jobsites will be necessary, ability to work on uneven unclean terrain for several hours.
