Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to cleaning and maintenance tasks, with a focus on high standards of hygiene and sanitation.
Duties
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming in designated areas.
- Buff floors and maintain floor care to ensure surfaces are clean and presentable.
- Carry out commercial cleaning duties in offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas.
- Conduct custodial responsibilities such as waste disposal, restroom sanitation, and replenishing supplies.
- Assist with residential painting projects as needed to maintain aesthetic appeal.
- Support facilities maintenance by reporting any repairs or maintenance issues promptly.
- Execute industrial cleaning tasks in compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Maintain equipment used for cleaning and ensure it is in good working condition.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure all cleaning tasks are completed efficiently.
Requirements
- Previous experience in janitorial or custodial roles is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of commercial cleaning techniques and equipment operation is a plus.
- Familiarity with buffing machines and floor care products is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high cleanliness standards.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Good physical stamina; ability to lift heavy objects and perform manual labor as required.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively.
