Our client, a distinguished CPA firm, is seeking an experienced Managing Director to lead their Family Office & HNW Tax Services team. This position offers a strategic leadership opportunity for an expert in high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth tax services.

Role Summary : As Managing Director, you will lead the tax department, guiding strategic tax planning and compliance for a diverse range of clients including estates, trusts, partnerships, S-corporations, LLCs, individuals, and exempt organizations. This role demands a leader capable of enhancing the firm's service offerings and ensuring superior client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities :

Lead the firm's expansion in tax services tailored to family offices and high-net-worth clients.
Direct a team of Senior Managers and Directors responsible for preparing and reviewing complex federal income tax returns, multi-state tax returns, and related filings.
Spearhead research and strategic planning for complex tax issues, focusing on business structuring and transaction planning.
Ensure timely and accurate delivery of tax information and estimates to external partners and stakeholders.
Oversee the management of federal and state tax audits.
Maintain current knowledge of tax law changes and develop strategies to ensure compliance and optimal tax positioning for clients.
Facilitate seamless communication with external consultants, including those in accounting, treasury, foundations, and investment sectors.

Qualifications :

Extensive experience in tax accounting, compliance, and managing high-net-worth client projects.

Proficiency with major tax preparation software, with a preference for GoSystem.

Excellent communication skills, capable of effectively managing relationships with internal teams and external clients.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work within stipulated deadlines.

Dedication to confidentiality and discretion in handling sensitive family and business information.

Competence in Microsoft Office suite.

Education and Experience :

Bachelor's degree in Accounting; Master's degree or other advanced qualifications are advantageous.

Minimum of 15 years' experience specializing in HNW and UHNW tax services.

Experience in a regional or Big 4 firm preferred.
